ManU's coffers swelled significantly with the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid. Rumors indicate the club is looking at a young Brazilian midfielder, Douglas Costa, as a possible mid-term replacement of the departed Portuguese superstar. Douglas has been compared to a young Ronaldinho.
Douglas has just completed his first year with Gremio's senior squad and due to the attention he generated with superb exhibitions of his skills, signed him to a new contract tying him to the club until 2013.
Other clubs presumably interested in Douglas include Liverpool, Inter de Milan and the deep-pocketed Real Madrid (well, with the aid of Spanish banks).
